Wei Min graduated with LL.B (Hons) from Cardiff University, U.K. and was admitted to practise as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2010.
Wei Min began his legal practice with Skrine where he advised mostly on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, foreign investments, joint ventures, securities and insurance.
Wei Min joined the firm as an associate in 2014 and was promoted to Senior Associate in 2016. He was admitted as partner of the firm in 2018.
He has advised on various corporate and commercial matters including merger and acquisitions, corporate exercises of public listed companies, foreign investments, joint ventures, conveyancing, joint land development, retail and corporate loans. He has also advised foreign direct investors on the various aspects of commencing and conducting business operations in Malaysia.
A notable transaction that Wei Min has advised on is the joint venture between SATS Ltd and AirAsia Berhad in the business of ground handling involving (i) a share swap arrangement with Ground Team Red Holdings Sdn Bhd (a wholly-owned subsidiary of AirAsia Berhad) to sell 80% stake in SATS Ground Services Singapore Pte Ltd (a wholly-owned subsidiary of SATS Ltd) in return for a 11.4% stake in Ground Team Red Holdings Sdn Bhd, and (ii) acquisition by SATS Ltd from AirAsia Berhad of a 38.6% stake in Ground Team Red Holdings Sdn Bhd for an aggregate transaction value of SGD119.9 million.
